MIAA Cross Country Championships Information

Hope College is proud to host the 2023 MIAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Three Fires Golf Club in Holland, Michigan.

Admission and parking are free.

MEET INFORMATION

9:00 a.m. Course opens/packet pickup (unless there is a frost warning)
10:55 a.m. Men's Senior Recognition (seniors will step in front of the starting line and be recognized as a whole group)
11:00 a.m. Men's Championship 8K Race
11:55 a.m. Women's Senior recognition (seniors will step in front of the starting line and be recognized as a whole group)
Noon. Women's Championship 6K Race
1:00 p.m. Awards ceremony (near the finish line area)

DIRECTIONS TO THE COURSE

Three Fires Golf Club is located at 6045 136th Ave., approximately 10 miles north of Holland off of US-31.

Note: Neither pets, bikes, nor strollers are allowed on the course.

PARKING

All team vans and buses will be parked in the main golf course lot. Spectators will also be allowed to park at the golf course and will be directed to the driving range or main parking lot.

In case of inclement weather, spectator parking may be moved to the Careerline Tech Center, 13663 Port Sheldon Street.

INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION

In the event of inclement weather, please check the @HopeAthletics Facebook and X social media accounts for information on delays and/or postponements. Information, as it is available, also will be shared on this website. Spectators will be asked to seek shelter in their vehicles in the event of severe weather.

RESTROOMS

There will be several portable toilets for athletes AND coaches only located near the start area. There will be additional portable toilets for spectators near the parking area. No one is allowed inside the club house.

ATHLETIC TRAINING

There will be athletic trainers and team physicians available at the pavilion house and finish area. There will also be a gator following the race to help injured athletes. Ice and heat will be available. For your specific needs, please come with a treatment letter or contact Tonia Gruppen, our XC/TF athletic trainer: gruppen@hope.edu
