FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore basketball player Giavanna Paradiso was one of just 12 student-athletes to be named to the 2019 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) list for her efforts this season.

Paradiso, a native of Columbus, Ohio, was fourth overall in scoring in league games after averaging 16.3 points per contest. She averaged 6.8 rebounds per game and played in an average of 31.8 minutes per game, both of which put her in the top seven in conference contests this year. Paradiso tallied double-digit points in 13 of 16 conference games and had a pair of double-doubles for the Belles. The sophomore also led all forwards in MIAA play with 31 assists on the year, which ranked her 13th overall among all players.

An MIAA Player of the Week earlier this season, the All-MIAA selection is the first of Paradiso's career. She is the 18th player in program history to garner All-MIAA honors.
