HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior guard Elle Deardorff has been named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday, December 18.

 

A native of Logansport, Indiana, Deardorff played a key role on both ends of the court in the Belles' 78-75 win over Holy Cross. She led all Saint Mary's players with 17 points and added a career-high eight rebounds and four assists. She added a key defensive play in the final ten seconds by breaking up a pass to help preserve the win while disrupting the Holy Cross offense's effort to tie the game.

 

It is the first MIAA Athlete of the Week honor of her career.
