Belles Claim Alice Lloyd Invitational Title

RICHMOND, Ky. - The No. 16 ranked (Women's Golf Coaches Association) Saint Mary's golf team did not let poor conditions stop them from capturing the Alice Lloyd Invitational on Sunday.
 
The Belles took the title with a two-day score of 664 after a 340 on Sunday as Saint Mary's had the lowest team score in each of the two rounds. Grace College finished second with a 687 after a 346 on Sunday, and fellow MIAA member Albion placed third with a 732 (366-366).
 
Hunter Kehoe was the medalist of the tournament as the sophomore carded the low round both on Saturday (77) and Sunday (80) to finish with a 157. Taylor Kehoe was second overall after a day-two score of 82 gave the senior a 161 for the weekend. Sydney Hruskoci finished seventh in the field as Sunday's 92 gave her a final total of 173. Summer Stillson shaved off six strokes on day two with an 86 to take tenth place with a 178. Lauren Read shot a 93 on Sunday and was 12th overall with a 180 for the tournament.
 
Maggie Sexton and Hannah Finley each competed as individuals at the event. Sexton shot a 91 on Sunday and finished with a 181 for 13th place overall. Finley posted a 95 on day two for a final total of 191 and a share of 26th place.
 

The Belles are back in action this upcoming weekend when they take part in the Washington University in St. Louis Invitational on April 6 and 7.
