Belles Take Early Lead in MIAA NCAA Automatic Qualifying Standings

SAUGATUCK, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team won the first of three 18-hole rounds which will collectively determine the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's (MIAA) automatic qualifier for the 2019 NCAA Championship Tournament.
 
The Belles shot a 328 to win the event by 29 strokes. Host Hope was second with a 357. Calvin finished in third place (361) while Albion placed fourth (364).
 
Hunter Kehoe led all golfers with a three-over par 75 to earn round medalist honors. The sophomore was the lone golfer to break into the 70s in the round. Taylor Kehoe finished third after turning in an 82.
 
Sydney Hruskoci took fourth place overall after carding an 83 in the round. Hannah Finley wrapped up the team score with an 88 while finishing tied for sixth. Summer Stillson posted a 91 for a share of 11th place at the event.
 
The second and third 18-hole rounds will both be hosted by Saint Mary's. The first of those two rounds takes place on Friday, April 26 at Knollwood Country Club.
