HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior Haley Angel has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week on April 29.

 

A native of Tampa, Florida, Angel helped lift the golf team to their eleventh MIAA Championship in program history. She had the team's highest finish at the two-day MIAA Spring Finale by placing seventh overall. Angel then won a three-hole playoff with a birdie on a par five hole to earn MIAA Most Valuable Player honors and become the tenth different player in program history to garner the conference MVP title.

 

It is the second MIAA Athlete of the Week honor of the year and third of her career for Angel.
