ANGOLA, Ind. - The third time was the charm for the completion of the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Trine as the Belles took first place at the thrice-scheduled conference round at Zollner Golf Course.

Saint Mary's turned in a team score of 320 to win the round. Hope placed second with a 332, and Adrian placed third with a 333. Albion rounded out the top four with a 341.

Haley Angel and Colleen Hand both shot matching scores of 78 to tie Morgan Yates from Alma for round medalist honors. Julia Lizak posted an 80 to tie for fifth to help pace the Belles. Katelyn Tokarz wrapped up the team score with an 83 (t-13th). Amanda Melling posted an 84 to round out the Saint Mary's efforts on the day.

The Belles now look to the 36-hole MIAA Spring Finale. The two-day event is hosted by Kalamazoo at Gull Lake View West Course on Monday and Tuesday, April 22 and 23. The conference team with the lowest cumulative stroke total from the four jamborees and the 36-hole event next week will earn the MIAA's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Championships in May.
