Kelly Tabbed MIAA Defensive Player of the Week

FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior midfielder Kate Kelly garnered Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week accolades for her efforts last week.
 
A native of Orland Park, Illinois, she had 10 goals, six assists, 13 ground balls, 10 draw controls, and seven caused turnovers as the Belles posted a 2-0 record on the week. In the team's conference opener at Alma, the senior co-captain registered four goals, four assists, four ground balls, five draw controls, and three caused turnovers all while helping Saint Mary's limit the Scots to just three shots in a 22-1 win.
 
It is the first time this season and the third time in her career she has been named an MIAA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
