FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomores Emily Kraker and Erin Doyle swept the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors on April 15.

 

A native of Westerville, Ohio, Kraker was tabbed as the MIAA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. She had a 68.2 save percentage with a career-high 15 saves in the Belles' 16-7 win at Kalamazoo last Wednesday. Kraker then followed that performance with 10 saves and a 55.6 save percentage as Saint Mary's defeated Hope 22-8 on Saturday. She added three ground balls on the week.

 

A native of Niskayuna, New York, Doyle was selected as the MIAA Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. She shared game-high honors with five points as she tallied three goals and two assists in the win at Kalamazoo as she surpassed 100 career ground balls. Against Hope, she tied her own school record with 10 goals and added an assist as she put 80.0 percent of her shots on goal during the week.

 

It is the first Defensive Player of the Week honor of Kraker's career. For Doyle, it is the first time this season and fourth time in her career she has been named Offensive Player of the Week.
