BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Saint Mary's tennis team made it two conference wins in two days' time as the Belles defeated Olivet 9-0 on Sunday afternoon at Minges Creek Athletic Club.
Alyssa Gulli and Elizabeth Preister were the first pair off the courts as they claimed an 8-0 win at three doubles. Lily Brand and Lilly Chamberlin won an 8-4 match at two doubles, and Monica Davy and Megan Davy put the Belles up 3-0 with an 8-3 victory at one doubles.
Nicole Becker earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at six singles, and Gulli clinched the team win with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at three singles. Megan Davy prevailed 6-2, 6-1 at two singles for the Belles before Chamberlin took a 6-0, 6-2 victory at four singles. Preister did not drop a game en route to a 6-0, 6-0 final at five singles. Monica Davy fought off a comeback-minded opponent at one singles as the senior won 6-0, 6-4 at one singles for the 9-0 team win.
The Belles (9-7, 2-0 MIAA) are off from competition until Saturday, April 6 when they host Adrian at 1:00 p.m.
