HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore Emma Kealy was named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week on February 26.

 

A native of Hudson, Ohio, she played a big role in the Belles narrow 5-4 win over Carthage on Saturday. She was part of an 8-4 victory at two doubles to give Saint Mary's a crucial point early in the match. She had an opening-set comeback and then went on to battle her way to a nail-biting 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 win at two singles to clinch the team victory.

 

It is the first MIAA Athlete of the Week honor of her career.
