Belles Split at Dominican

RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Saint Mary's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-8, 25-18, 25-15) win over Rockford before falling to host Dominican in a 3-2 (18-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-8) final.

In the opening match of the day, Nicole Lukens registered a double-double with 10 kills and 18 digs. Lindsey Pelletier added nine kills as the Belles posted a .327 team attack percentage against the Regents. Morgan VanderWey had 29 assists, eight digs, and five kills in a well-rounded effort. Audrey Shannon tied Lukens for match-high honors with 18 digs.

Nicole Lukens picked up her second double-double of the day with 16 kills and 28 digs. Lindsey Pelletier put down 14 kills and three blocks. Audrey Shannon put up 22 digs while Brittney Tarkanyi registered 17 digs for the Belles. Morgan VanderWey recorded 42 assists and 11 digs.

The Belles (8-10) return to MIAA play on Tuesday, October 2 when they host Olivet at 7:00 p.m.
