NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Saint Mary's cross country team was recognized for their strong academic efforts this fall as the Belles garnered the All-Academic Team award from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

A team must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet while also having a minimum of a 3.10 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in order to be considered for the annual accolade from the USTFCCCA.

The Belles had a cumulative GPA of 3.22 during the fall 2018 semester and placed 26th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in November in order to garner the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award. Fellow MIAA members Albion, Alma, Calvin, Hope, Olivet, and Trine joined Saint Mary's on the women's list for 2018 as 215 NCAA Division III women's cross country teams were honored this year.

It is the ninth consecutive season the Saint Mary's cross country team has garnered the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III All-Academic Team honor.
