NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's Basketball senior Lauren Gumma (Troy, MI) was named the Belles Athlete of the Week for her performances last week.

Gumma made her first start of the season in the game against the University of Olivet and finished with six points in her 26 minutes of play. She would then play a large role in the Belles game against Adrian College where she played 32 minutes and put up 14 points for the Belles, both season highs and her career high in points. She would shoot 5-6 from the field including going 4-5 from beyond the three point line.

Gumma and the Belles finish their road trip on Wednesday when they travel to Albion College for a 7pm tipoff before returning home to host Calvin University on Saturday, January 25, for a 1pm tipoff.
