STORM LAKE, Iowa. - Saint Mary's College STUNT would split their two matches in Iowa on Saturday, falling to Central Methodist University, 8-7, in the first match of the day and defeating Buena Vista University, 14-0. The Belles move to 7-7 on the year heading into their final match day of the season.
Saint Mary's vs Central Methodist
Central Methodist would come out and take points in both rounds of the first quarter to take a quick 2-0 lead. Both teams would come out and take a point in the first round of the second quarter before the Belles would cut the lead to just one by taking a point in round two, going into halftime down just 3-2.
Saint Mary's would take the first point in the third quarter to tie the match before both teams would be awarded points in round two. Sending the match into the fourth quarter, tied 4-4. The teams would split points in the first round of the fourth quarter, the Eagles would take the first point before both teams would earn a point in jumps and tumbling and the Belles taking the final point.
Saint Mary's vs Buena Vista
Saint Mary's would come out and take two quick points in the first quarter. The Belles would then come out and take the first two points in the second quarter to double their lead. Buena Vista was unable to capitalize off of Saint Mary's forfeiting back to back routines to end the quarter, allowing the Belles go into halftime with a 4-0 lead.
Saint Mary's would continue to control the mat as they would take two more points in the third to head into the final quarter with a 6-0 lead. The Belles would sweep the first round of the fourth quarter, taking all three points, to extend their lead. Saint Mary's would then take one point in round two before sweeping the third round, taking all three points. Saint Mary's would then finish off their win with a final point in the final round.

Saint Mary's returns home for their final day of competition of the season on April 4. The Belles will host a tri-match that will welcome in the University of Olivet and Concordia University Chicago. The Comets and Cougars will kick off the night with a match at 6pm. The Belles will then finish the night with matches against both teams, taking on the Comets at 7pm and the Cougars at 7:45pm. Saint Mary's will also be celebrating Senior Night.
