Title: | Strength & Conditioning Coach |
Mike was a cross country and track and field athlete throughout high school and then attended and competed at the collegiate level for SUNY Cortland. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from upstate NY’s SUNY Cortland and later earned a master’s degree in exercise science with a concentration in sports psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. While working as a personal trainer in NY Mike decided to get involved in coaching cross country and track and field for various high schools in the NY/metro area. Shortly after taking a head coach position Mike became a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) through the NSCA. After moving to South Bend in 2021 Mike took on the role of head strength and conditioning coach at Saint Joseph High School and currently serves in that role working with various sports such as football, basketball, baseball, soccer, cross country, track and field, lacrosse, wrestling and volleyball.
He’s still an avid runner and enjoys strength training on his own time. Mike is a very passionate coach and really cares about his athletes. He enjoys seeing their mental and physical improvements. He resides in nearby Granger with his wife Stacy and dogs, Haley and Koda. He looks forward to working with the Stunt team at St Mary’s.
