Belles Sit in Fourth Place at Lynn Schweizer Invitational

GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 334 and holds fourth place after day one of the Denison University Lynn Schweizer Invitational.
 
Stevenson shot a 323 for the low team score of the day, and No. 6 ranked DePauw was second with a 326. Host Denison turned in a 329 for third. The Belles, who received votes in the latest Division III Women's Golf Coaches Association Poll, hold a one-stroke lead over Transylvania and are four strokes ahead of Rose-Hulman in the field of 12 teams.
 
Ithaca's Peyton Greco had the low individual score of the round with a two-over par 73.
 
Summer Stillson led the Belles with an 81 to hold a share of ninth place overall going into Sunday's round. Sydney Hruskoci was a stroke behind Stillson with an 82 to tie for 13th. Hunter Kehoe carded an 85 to hold a share of 30th. Maggie Sexton turned in an 86 to wrap up the team score as the sophomore sits in 34th. Isa Patacsil shot an 88 as the fifth golfer in the Belles' scoring lineup and is tied for 38th.
 
Hillary Ziemba and Katherine Hopkins are both competing as individuals at the event. Ziemba shot an 84 and is in a tie for 20th individually while Hopkins posted a 97 and is tied for 62nd.
 
Day two of the Lynn Schweizer Invitational is slated to tee off at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Denison Golf Club.
