Belles Tie for Third at Denison's Lynn Schweizer Invitational

GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 325 on day two to finish tied for third at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational on Sunday.
 
No. 6 ranked DePauw claimed the team title after Sunday's 317 gave the Tigers a 643 for the weekend. Stevenson shot a 332 on day two and were second with a 655. The Belles' 325 on Sunday was tied for the third-lowest team score of the day as Saint Mary's shared third place with host Denison with 659s for the weekend.
 
Ithaca's Peyton Greco took home the individual medalist title after a 74 on Sunday gave the senior a two-day score of 147 for a six-stroke victory.
 
Hunter Kehoe shaved nine strokes off of her Saturday score as the junior carded a 76 on Sunday for a 161 and a share of seventh place individually. Sydney Hruskoci posted an 81 and had a two-day total of 163 to tie for 11th place overall. Summer Stillson's 83 gave the junior a 164 and a share of 13th in the field of 77 golfers. Maggie Sexton wrapped up the team score with an 85 and was tied for 30th with a 171 for the tournament. Isa Patacsil was the fifth golfer in the Belles' lineup and shot a 90 to tie for 46th with a two-day score of 178.
 
Katherine Hopkins and Hillary Ziemba both competed as individuals at the tournament. Hopkins cut an impressive 17 strokes off of her day-one score and posted an 80 on day two to tie for 44th (177) overall. Ziemba carded a 94 on day two and was tied for 46th individually with a 178.
 
The Belles return to competition on Friday and Saturday, September 6 and 7, at the Olivet College Kyle Campbell Invite at the Medalist Golf Club.
