Hruskoci Earns MIAA Athlete of the Week Honor

FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior Sydney Hruskoci was named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week on Monday, April 25. 
 
A native of Fishers, Indiana, Hruskoci had the lowest three-round cumulative score of any golfer as the Belles won the MIAA Automatic Bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Championships. The senior had a 56-hole score of 237 to help lead the Belles to their fourth consecutive NCAA Championship since 2018. She shared medalist honors at the first round of the week with an 80 and fired a two-over par 74 on the final day of competition to capture medalist honors. As a team, Saint Mary's had a three-round cumulative score of 960 to establish a new conference record for the best mark for a 56-hole total for the NCAA Automatic Qualifier.
 
It is the second MIAA women's golf athlete of the week honor of her career.
