Belles Finish Second at MIAA Jamboree Hosted by Adrian

TECUMSEH, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 330 and finished second to host Adrian at Tecumseh Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Bulldogs turned in a team score of 316 for the top collective score on the day. The Belles were second (330) while Trine finished third (339).
 
Chandler Sjoerdsma from Calvin and Olivia Ohmer from Adrian shared round medalist honors with matching scores of 77. 
 
Amanda Melling led the Belles on Wednesday with an 81 to finish seventh overall in the field. Katherine Hopkins was a stroke back with an 82 and tied for eighth. Katelyn Tokarz added an 83 and held a share of 11th. Erin Bennett wrapped up the team score with an 84 while tying for 13th. Julia Lizak was the fifth golfer in the lineup for Saint Mary's and shot a 95 to tie for 41st.
 
Haley Angel and Breana Harrington both competed as individuals at the event. Angel shot an 86 to tie for 20th. Harrington posted an 89 and tied for 29th.
 
The Belles now look ahead to the third MIAA Jamboree, which is set to take place on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. on Alma's home course of Pine River Country Club.
