HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore Julia Lizak has been named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week on September 18.

 

A native of Riverview, Michigan, Lizak was the round medalist at the first MIAA Jamboree of the season last Thursday. She shot a 77 and had a team-best 11 pars with a birdie to complete her round with no score above a bogey. Over the weekend, she shot 78-76 to finish tied for 24th in a highly competitive field at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic. She finished the tournament with 21 pars over 36 holes and tied for 13th in the field in par four scoring.

 

It is the second MIAA Athlete of the Week honor of her career and the first of her sophomore season.
