Belles Place Third at Second MIAA Jamboree

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 324 and placed third at the second of four MIAA Jamborees.
 
Adrian finished first with a 309, and host Calvin placed second on their home course of Thornapple Pointe with a 316. Abby Fansler from Hope and Olivia Ohmer from Adrian shared medalist honors with matching 75s.
 
Haley Angel and Julia Lizak led the Belles with a pair of 79s to both finish seven-over par and tie for eighth. Amanda Melling turned in an 80, which included an eagle in the round, to tie for 11th. Katelyn Tokarz rounded out the team score with an 86 (t-26th). Georgie Kersman was the fifth golfer in the Belles lineup and shot an 88 (t-34th).
 
Joanna James competed as an individual and shot an 81 (t-15th). 
 
The Belles now look to the next MIAA Jamboree, which will be hosted by Kalamazoo at Milham Park Golf Club on September 30 starting at 1:00 p.m.
