Belles Take Home Second Straight MIAA Jamboree

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Golf took home first place at the second MIAA Jamboree, at Elbel Golf Course in South Bend, for their second win this fall. The Belles finished with a 312 (+24) as a team.

Freshman Melanie Maier led the way for the Belles with a T2 finished after shooting a 75 (+3). Maier was one of three Belles to record a birdie on the day, doing so on the Par 5 sixth hole. Junior Breana Harrington finished right behind Maier with a fifth place finish after shooting a 76 (+4). Senior Katelyn Tokarz finished behind Harrington with a T6 finish after carding an 80 (+8).

Sophomore Colleen Hand rounded out the top 10 finishers for the Belles with a T10 finish after carding an 81 (+9). Junior Julia Lizak and senior Joanna James finished just outside of the top 10 with a T13 finish after both shot an 82 (+10).

Senior Georgie Kersman and freshman Ella Notaro rounded out the competitors for the Belles as they finished T28 after carding an 87 (+15).

Saint Mary's finished off the fall season with the final two MIAA Jamborees, starting on Saturday in Tecumseh, Michigan and finishing the fall season on October 9 in Angola, IN.
