The Fighting Irish won Big East Championships in 2008, 2011, and 2013 while finishing as runners up in 2007, 2009, and 2012. A three-time Big East Coach of the Year, Holt's squads advanced to NCAA Division I Regionals each spring from 2008 through 2018. The 2011 team became the first in program history to reach the NCAA Finals. Moreover, Holt's tutelage of student-athletes was recognized with individual accolades including:
  • 37 NGCA/WGCA All-Scholar Athletes
  • 34 Big East Scholar-Athletes
  • 29 ACC Academic Honor Roll honors
  • 25 All-Big East First Team honors
  • 15 USGA Women's Amateur Participants
  • 10 USGA Women's Amateur Public Links Participants
  • Six USGA Women's Open Participants
Holt was the head women's golf coach at the University of South Florida from 1993 through 2006. She was a three-time Conference USA Coach of the Year (1996, 1999, 2001) and was named Coach of the Decade (1995-2005). Her squads at USF won 17 tournament titles and had 16 runner-up finishes. Holt led the Bulls to Conference USA Championships in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2003. The 2001 and 2002 teams became the first teams to advance from the NCAA Regional to NCAA Championship after the format was expanded to the multi-round playoff tournament in place today, and her teams made NCAA Regional appearances in 1994, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2005.

Holt served as the head women's golf coach and teaching professional at Purdue University from 1990 to 1993. Over the span of her collegiate coaching career, Holt coached three student-athletes who went on to compete in the LPGA.

In addition to her head coaching experience, Holt has been active in growing the sport of golf at the community and youth levels. She was a volunteer certified coach with First Tee Tampa Bay from 2000-2006. She has held a similar role with First Tee of Indiana-Michiana since 2014. Additionally, Holt served as a board member of First Tee of Indiana-Michiana from 2014-16.

"I want to thank Director of Athletics Julie Schroeder-Biek for this wonderful opportunity," said Holt. "I have been volunteering with the team this fall and have thoroughly enjoyed working with these young women. These women play for the love of the game, and that is enough for them. This is what has drawn me back into coaching collegiate golf. It is relationship-based, not transactional. My passion is teaching, and these students have a strong desire to learn and have the work ethic to get better. Saint Mary's golf has a tradition of excellence, and Coach Jordan Koehler has positioned this team for success with a firm foundation in place. I am excited to continue the work and bring home championships in the years to come."

Holt holds a bachelor of science degree in recreation education from Ohio State University, where she majored in sports management with a specialization in coaching. She was a four-year member of the Buckeyes golf team, played on two Big Ten Championship teams (1985, 1988), and participated in the 1988 NCAA Women's Golf Championship. Holt was a four-time scholar-athlete at Ohio State.

She has been a member of the Professional Golfers Association of America since 1992.

Holt joined the Saint Mary's golf staff earlier this fall and will step into the role of head coach effective November 15.
