NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Saint Mary's senior midfielder Erin Doyle was named to the Great Lakes Region Second Team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for her performance in the 2021 season.

Doyle is one of 16 Division III women's lacrosse players to be named to the Great Lakes Region Second Team for the 2021 season. The region is comprised of programs from Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and part of Pennsylvania. An additional 16 student-athletes were named to the First Team for the same region. Eight regions are represented with All-Region selections by the IWLCA.

A native of Niskayuna, New York, Doyle ranks among the national leaders in all of Division III women's lacrosse in several statistical categories. With just the NCAA Semifinal and Championship contests remaining, she ranks fifth in points per game (6.94), fourth in shots on goal per game (8.47), third in total points (118), and second in total goals (89). Doyle is among the top 100 players in assists per game, total assists, ground balls per game, and caused turnovers per game for the 2021 season. Additionally, she became just the tenth player in NCAA Division III women's lacrosse history to score 300 goals in a career, needing just 55 games to accomplish the feat.

It is the third Great Lakes All-Region honor for Doyle. She is the first player in program history to earn three All-Region honors from the IWLCA.

The IWLCA has honored 272 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2021. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2021 All-American teams and Players of the Year in June.
