HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Saint Mary's lacrosse player Valentina Rubio has been named to the All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Second Team for the 2024 season.

A junior midfielder for the Belles, Rubio posted 12 goals and an assist with 18 ground balls, 11 draw controls, and 14 caused turnovers over the span of seven conference games in the spring. The caused turnover total put Rubio in the top eight among all MIAA players in 2024, and her ground ball total was in the top 20 by student-athletes in conference games. She tallied at least one goal in five conference contests with multiple goals against Albion, Alma, and Kalamazoo. Additionally, she had at least one ground ball in six of seven MIAA games of the year and had multiple ground balls on five occasions.

It is the second postseason All-MIAA honor of Rubio's career as she was an All-MIAA First Team selection in 2022.
