FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior forward Rose Stackhouse was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's soccer offensive player of the week for games played between September 6-12.

A native of St. Charles, Illinois, she scored both goals in the Belles' 2-0 win over Aurora before adding her third-consecutive multi-goal game with a pair of goals in a 4-3 victory against Goshen last week. With her two goals against Aurora, Stackhouse moved into fifth place all-time in program history for goals scored in a career.

"Rose has been playing really well," said head coach Jesse Urquhart. "She's been doing some of her best work off the ball. Her intelligent movement combined with her teammates' ability to get her the ball has resulted in two braces this week and three consecutive braces going back to the previous week. She's always a threat to create scoring opportunities, and it's great to see her finding the back of the net. I expect Rose to continue to play an important role in our team's ability to score goals and win matches."

It is the first MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honor this season and second of Stackhouse's career.
