
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Soccer continues their road trip as they travel to take on Adrian College on Saturday with kickoff set for 7pm.
The Belles come into the match after opening the conference season with a 1-1 record as they took down Kalamazoo College in their opener, 1-0, and fell at Calvin University, 5-0. Saint Mary's currently sit fourth in the conference with three points. Hope College and Calvin sit at the top with nine points each while Adrian remains undefeated with six points in their two matches.
The Belles come in with an overall record of 6-4, including four wins in their last five matches. The Belles are averaging over 18 shots per game while scoring 1.7 goals per game and allowing just 1.1 goals per game.
Senior Izzi Linus (Washington Crossing, PA) and sophomore Margaret Slove (Spring Grove, IL) lead the team with three goals each while five Belles have recorded two goals. Freshman Taylor London (Orland Park, IL) leads the team with four assists and eight points. Slove leads the team with 45 shots and 27 shots on goal, she ranks 49th in the country in shots per game (4.5) and ranks 31st in the nation in shots on goal per game (2.7).
Senior goalkeeper Riley Lindsey (Valparaiso, IN) and junior goalkeeper Caroline Miklavcic (Frankfort, KY) have split matches with Lindsey starting six and Miklavcic starting four. Lindsey has allowed nine goals while making 14 saves. Miklavcic has allowed two goals while making three saves.
Adrian Bulldogs
Adrian comes in with an 8-2 (2-0 MIAA) record and have won their last seven matches, outscoring their opponents 16-2. The Bulldogs opened their conference season with a 1-0 win at Kalamazoo and a 3-1 win at Alma College. Annamarie Fosmoen is leading the Bulldogs with five goals this season and three assists. She also leads with 62 shots and 27 shots on goal, she ranks fifth in the nation in shots per game (6.2) and is tied with Slove for 31st in the nation in shots on goal per game (2.7). As a team, Adrian ranks 30th in the nation in shots per game (20.8) and 42nd in shots on goal per game (10.2). Gabrielle Fallon Revels has started nine matches in goal for Adrian, allowing just four goals and making 30 saves on 64 shots faced. She ranks 27th in the nation in save percentage (.882) and is 33rd in the nation in goals against average (.514).
