NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Soccer fell to Hope College in the regular season finale on Wednesday, 2-0. The Belles fall to 7-81 (2-5-1 MIAA) while the Flying Dutch improve to 11-3-2 (6-1-1).
Hope got out to an early lead with a goal at the 10:15 mark in the first half after they held possession throughout the majority of the first half. The Flying Dutch would tack on to their lead late in the first half with another goal in the 41st minute to go into the break with a 2-0 lead.
Offense would slow down for both teams as the second would remain scoreless and Hope would come out victorious. The Flying Dutch would outshoot the Belles 9-4 and 5-1 in shots on goal.
Seniors Mary Kaczynski (South Bend, IN) and Izzi Linus (Washington Crossing, PA) along with freshmen Isabella Kreydich (Tinley Park, IL) and Yulissa Gallegos (Goshen, IN) all recorded a shot while Kreydich had the lone shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Riley Lindsey (Valparaiso, IN) made three saves on the night.

Saint Mary's awaits their fate as the regular season finishes tonight and the Belles look towards a bid in the MIAA Tournament. The tournament bracket will be released tomorrow morning at 10am.
