FREELAND, Mich. - Lilly Chamberlin was named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her efforts this past weekend.
A junior from Harbor Springs, Michigan, Chamberlin posted a combined 4-0 record on the weekend in singles and double play for the Belles. She was part of a comeback win at two doubles and fought off match point while winning two tiebreakers at five singles in a 6-3 win over Spring Arbor. In two matches, Chamberlin won four total tiebreakers and contributed to four of the team's nine total points on Saturday.
It is her first MIAA Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honor this season and the second of her career.
