Belles Cap Off Spring Break Trip with Win

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Saint Mary's tennis team concluded their spring break trip with a 9-0 win over Lynchburg to post a 4-0 record for the week.
 
Hannah Gerner and Grace Clearwater did not drop a game in an 8-0 route at three doubles. Alayna Campbell and Evelyn Demblans-Dechans captured an 8-1 victory at one doubles. Anna Gardner and Emma Kealy came off the court with an 8-2 decision in hand at two doubles to give the Belles the 3-0 lead going into singles play.
 
Kealy wasted little time in taking a 6-0, 6-0 win at two singles. Genevieve Brawner then clinched the team win with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at six singles. Michaela Hauer prevailed in a 6-1, 6-1 final at five singles. Evelyn Demblans-Dechans earned a 6-1, 6-0 decision at three singles. Katie Hunter won a 6-2, 6-1 match at four singles. Alayna Campbell wrapped up the competition with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at one singles. The team win marks the tenth victory for the Belles for the season to-date.
 
The Belles (10-4) now look to the start of their slate of MIAA competition. Saint Mary's is set to travel to Adrian on Saturday, March 23 for the team's conference opener, which starts at 12:00 p.m.
