NILES, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Tennis opened the spring season with a win over Huntington University, 4-3. The Belles improve to 2-1 while the Foresters fall to 5-8.
Doubles
Saint Mary's would take the doubles point from Huntington as senior Alayna Campbell (Granger, IN) and junior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) would take the number one doubles match, 7-6. Sophomore Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) and freshman Lanie Brant (Stevensville, MI) took the number three doubles match, 6-2.
Singles
Sophomore Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) would earn a forfeit win in six singles to open the set. The Belles would come out hot as freshmen Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) and Brant would take the number four and five singles respectively. Dudy would win 6-2 6-2, while Brant would clinch the match with a 6-2 6-2 victory.
