SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Tennis defeated Trine University on Saturday afternoon, 6-1, for their sixth straight win. The Belles improve to 10-3 (1-1 MIAA) on the year while the Thunder fall to 10-2 (1-1 MIAA).
Doubles
Saint Mary's would come out and quickly take care of Trine to earn the doubles point, winning the numbers one and two matches. Senior Alayna Campbell (Granger, IN) and junior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) would win at number one, 6-1, while sophomore Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) and freshman Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) would win at two, 6-2.
Singles
The Belles would dominate singles play, winning five straight matches to claim the match win. Freshman Lanie Brant (Stevensville, MI) would quickly take care of her opponent at number five, 6-0 6-2, to kick things off before Kealy would follow at number two, winning 6-1 6-0. Junior Hannah Gerner (Crown Point, IN) would take her match shortly after, winning 6-1 6-2 at number six. Sophomore Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) would then follow with a sweep of her opponent at number three, 6-0 6-0, before Dudy would close it out with a win at number four, 6-2 6-3.

Saint Mary's continues conference play on Wednesday, April 2, as they host Adrian College at 4pm. The Belles then head on the road for back-to-back matches on April 5 and 6, at the University of Olivet and at Alma College.
