SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Tennis earned their seventh consecutive victory with a 4-3 win over Adrian College in Wednesday's afternoon MIAA action. The Belles improve to 11-3 (2-1 MIAA) while the Bulldogs fall to 7-5 (2-1 MIAA).
Doubles
Saint Mary's would dominate doubles play, taking all three matches to secure the doubles point. Sophomore Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) and freshman Lanie Brant (Stevensville, MI) would kick the day off with a 6-1 win at the number three match. Sophomore Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) and freshman Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) would follow shortly after with a 6-1 win of their own at number two doubles. Finally, senior Alayna Campbell (Granger, IN) and junior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) would take down their opponent at number one, 6-4, to complete the sweep.
Singles
The Belles would take a quick 2-0 lead after Dudy would make quick work of her opponent at the number four singles match, 6-0 6-1. The Bulldogs would bounce back and tie the match with wins at numbers one and two before the Belles would heat back up. Gardner and Pischalko would finish at almost the same time, taking victories over both of their opponents. Gardner winning at number three, 6-1 6-3, and Pischalko securing the Saint Mary's victory, 6-4 6-1, at number six. Adrian would take the final match of the day at number five singles in a third set tiebreaker.

Saint Mary's hits the road for back-to-back matches this weekend as they travel to take on the University of Olivet on Saturday, April 5, at 1pm. They then head to take on Alma College on Sunday, April 6, starting at 1pm. The Belles return home to host Albion College on Saturday, April 12, at 1pm for Senior Day.
