Campbell and Kealy Earn MIAA Honors

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Tennis senior Alayna Campbell (Granger, IN) and junior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) were named to the All-MIAA Second Team the league announced on Wednesday. Campbell was also named the conference's prestigious Karen Caine Award winner. Campbell has been named an All-MIAA honoree all four years while this is Kealy's second straight season being honored.

Campbell finished the regular season going 11-13 in singles overall while going 4-4 in conference play, she would play every conference match at #1 singles. She would also go 19-6 at doubles overall. Campbell surpassed the 100 career wins mark back on March 21 in her singles match against Carthage College and currently sits at 113 career wins.

Kealy finished the regular season going 10-9 overall in singles while going 5-3 in conference play, she would play every conference match at #2 singles. She would also go 18-5 at doubles overall. Kealy currently sits at 98 career wins

The combination of Campbell and Kealy at doubles would go 18-5 overall while going an incredible 7-1 in conference play, playing at #1 doubles in every conference match.

Campbell becomes only the second Belle to earn the Karen Caine Award, the first being Andrea Fetters in 2016. The Karen Caine Award is awarded to an athlete who has success both on the court and in the classroom. As of release, Campbell is a three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll member while also being a three-time ITA All-Scholar Athlete and a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.

Saint Mary's continues their postseason run this afternoon as they travel to Kalamazoo, MI to take on Kalamazoo College in the MIAA Tournament Semifinals starting at 4pm.
