Belles Finish Season with Senior Day Victory

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Volleyball defeated the University of Olivet on Saturday afternoon in the season finale, 3-0.The Belles finish the season 10-13 (2-6 MIAA) while the Comets finish 13-13 (1-7 MIAA).

Saint Mary's got out to a hot start in the first set as they outkilled Olivet, 12-9, in route to a set win, 25-18. Senior Cali Allen (Berrien Springs, MI) led the way for the Belles as she recorded six kills in the set.

Both teams were hot offensively in the second set, but Saint Mary's pulled away to take the 2-0 lead, 25-21. Olivet had the slight advantage in kills in the set, 15-12, but the Belles forced the Comets to seven errors en route to the victory. Allen moved in double-digit kills, 10, while sophomore Abby Reese (Elkhart, IN) reached 10 assists.

The Belles continued to dominate the third set, taking the set and match victory, 25-18. The Belles would outkill the Comets 15-12 in the set and force another seven errors.

Allen finished with a match-high 13 kills while junior Delaney Martin (North Judson, IN) finished with nine and freshman Kalli Lewkowski (Spring Lake, MI) finished with six. Reese finished with 18 kills to lead the team while freshman Giuliana Graczyk (Chicago, IL) finished with 13. Junior Karli Fegan (Orland Park, IL) led the match with 20 digs while Martin would finish with 10.
